Amazon have refunded a £60 order. I havent asked for it to be refunded either online or sending it back. Indeed im delightedly using it. The only other thing i have returned was refunded seperately. Im massively confused

I would contact Amazon and tell them what has happened. I couldn't keep £60 that I knew wasn't owed to me, without at least trying to rectify the situation.

antisupermum · 17/10/2019 11:35

I'm going to be 100% honest and say I would keep it and wouldn't think very much on it after that. Amazon aren't going to be skint without your £60 and with the way they dodge UK tax I think its the least they deserve, actually.

CornishCreation · 17/10/2019 11:48

I would keep it but not spend it for a while to see if they ask for it back.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/10/2019 12:32

The problem is that Amazon won't absorb any of that £60, @antisupermum - it will go into the percentage of the price that every Amazon customer pays, that covers shrinkage (which is the costs of theft, damaged goods etc). So keeping the £60 will not punish Amazon.

antisupermum · 17/10/2019 12:36

I would still keep it shrug

~shrug~

Honestly it would never cross my mind to tell amazon/send it back. I'd be really surprised if anyone actually would in real life.

VolcanionSteamArtillery · 17/10/2019 12:44

Me evidently i would. I just told them. Im too ethical for my own good!

More fool you!

Footle · 17/10/2019 13:49

Tell us what happens next. I suspect they'll tell you to keep it.

KurriKurri · 17/10/2019 14:02

I had similar when Amazon sent me two birdtables insted of the one I had ordered. I told them, they told me to keep the extra one - so I gave it to my sister. Amazon generally can't be arsed with small stuff.

VolcanionSteamArtillery · 17/10/2019 19:40

Suffice it to say i now have a very big smile on my face and an entirely clean conscious. Which i reckon is a good result.

Excellent result! I had a more disappointing outcome, when I rang Tesco customer service to tell them they'd delivered two bottles of very nice red wine that I hadn't ordered. The bastards came and picked it up again. Sad noWine
