Any radiographers about?

I need a high resolution chest CT but was told it would be in a few months to give me time to stop breastfeeding. The logic being that lactating breasts absorb much more radiation and once I stop the additional risk decreases. But the appointment has come through today and it is for tomorrow. I’ve literally only just stopped feeding today so clearly still lactating. The CT isn’t urgent, the consultant wanted it done in the next 3-4 months (it’s a second scan to see how well I am responding to a treatment/no concerns about serious illness etc) but our radiography department have given me a cancellation for much sooner. I can’t find any specific papers/ research to show how much worse it is for me to have it now. Can anyone shed any light and if you’re in the know would you advise me to postpone?
