Got up, got DC up, repeatedly asked them to choose breakfast/ eat breakfast/ put clothes on/ stop messing about/ put shoes on/ brush hair/ choose what to take for snack/ put coats on/ leave the house, walked to school while DC2 shouted at me because the wind was blowing her hood down, went home, emptied dishwasher, sorted washing, cried along to sad songs, tried to arrange to meet a friend but we weren't both free on the same date for about a month, went to work 12-7, survived against all the odds, did stuff that isn't usually part of my job, avoided a difficult conversation with my manager about my day off sick on Monday (apparently we are discussing that tomorrow), came home, nearly fell asleep on the settee. Now to see if I can persuade myself I want to eat dinner, make DC's packed lunch for tomorrow, tidy up kitchen, get ready for 13+ hours at work tomorrow, remain confused by the fact I got home about 2 hours earlier than usual.

Balanced work with errands with school/nursery run with housework with looking after DS and taking him out for a walk in the woods.

At the moment I feel like I’m trying to do everything at once and I can’t compartmentalise. But on the whole it was a productive day.

Got woken up at 4.30 this morning by a phone call from my DD(she's had her first baby and wanted my advice on his breastfeeding)couldn't get back to sleep so looked on and here and watched some tv,stuck some washing on when our youngest DC got up,got ready took her to school went from the school run for coffee with DH,had a look round some charity shops and got myself a lovely new dress a cardigan and some tops, went from there into town picked up bits for our new Grandson(first time Grandparents Grin )and our 2DD's,treated myself to 2 new pairs of boots(I very rarely treat myself so much and it was lovely)went and had some chinese food for lunch with DH,picked ourselves up some lovely new bedding, picked up cakes on the way home and had those with coffee when we got back.

I stayed home(to catch up on some much needed sleep)whilst my Dh did the school run, since then we've had dinner, done more laundry and tidying up and new bedding is on our bed and I'm going to go and have a nice bath and flop into bed.

Drove dd to an event which took 2hrs early this morning.

Then wfh, hate my own company, so when they asked for volunteers to help at brownies tonight I jumped at the chance. Smile

Picking other dd up from airport later this evening.

School run, Sainsbury's toy sale, coffee with a friend, washing, cleaned bathroom, watched TV with a brew for a few mins, school run, tea, parents evening and played netball!

Phew.....it's been a busy day! Grin

Got the kids sorted & off to school. Came home and did some housework/washing. Thought about mopping, but didn't bother because it was raining. Sorted my Rainbows and Guides subs tins ready to bank then realised my paying in books are with my accounts being checked so that's a pain in the arse.

Went to work. My 1:1 took off his shoe and sock, at the dinner table, to show me his poorly foot Hmm. That was fun! Went out and played games on the KS1 playground.

Came home, did a bit of admin stuff and prep for my Rainbows and Guides.

Picked up 9yo dd2. She went for an unexpected nap!! Waited for my Tesco shop to turn up (late) so I could cook tea (ran down the fridge and freezer, we were literally down to a single chicken breast, single kiev and two sausages).

Had tea, thought about having a glass of wine but couldn't be arsed so had a mug of tea instead. Had a shower and tucked the girls up.

I'm off to bed very soon now. Not been a bad day really.

Tomorrow I'll busy myself sorting dd2's Halloween costume I think :)

Had a lie in
Went out for lunch
Took ds to optician
Went for a sunbed
Had my nails done
Packed my case for Seville tomorrow!

It was nothing like my usual days of work, dog walk and house work on repeat!!

Titsywoo · 16/10/2019 21:54

Got a mini lay in (8am!) as the kids had a late start at school due to an open evening yesterday. Dropped them off then came home and planted some daffodil bulbs in the front garden. After that I did 2 hours of my online course then went to do my volunteering role for 3 hours. Picked the kids up and came home to make dinner (chicken and ham pie) and get homework done. Tidied up a bit then did some emails and accounts for the business I run from home with DH.

TerpsichoreanMuse · 16/10/2019 22:13

Went to Cross Fit, damaged car :(, worked on OU stuff, washed clothes, ironed some of them, slow cooked meat for pie, made suet crust pastry for pie, reduced stock & wine for pie, had a French speaky type tutorial online, ate a curry in the village with him outdoors, read Mumsnet,

Ohiknew - for the best?

Got up at 6, in work by 7.15, got home at 6.30, opened laptop and worked until half an hour ago. There was accompanying wine for a bit of this evening though. Bed now as tomorrow looks tediously similar.
