Completely disheartened

At work.. Due to recent issues (lack of staff leading to decreased overall performance which is being blamed on individual poor performance (not specifically mine) rather than the fact that there is an enormous amount of work with simply not enough people to do it.)

Do I tell my team leader how disheartened I am.. Or do I just get on with it feeling more and more distressed about it.

Been in a similar situation in the past, and I first had a chat with colleagues to see if they felt the same. If so, then a group approach to your team leader might be better than one person “having a moan”. Team leader can then feed group concerns up the line. Can they not recruit more staff to help out?
