How do I word this?

A forecasting document has been circulated around my team at work detailing all forthcoming projects.

On this there is a very lucrative, prestigious project listed and everyone else in my team has been included in this project apart from me. All my team members are male and senior to me.

I want to add my name to the project but also send a reminder that I was left off. How do I word this without being all female and apologetic.

I was thinking something like "I've added my name to XXX - not sure why I was left off this"

Does that sound alright? I want them to know I'm a bit miffed but I don't want to go nuclear on this.

Can you add your name to specific tasks?

I would just email whoever set it up and say 'I didn't see my name on this one - can you please update it and resend?'. Or do you think they have left you out on purpose? In which case ask whoever wrote the plan.

I should say, I am as well placed as most of the others to be part of this project. There's one guy who's best placed and will likely lead the project but everyone else is probably equally as appropriate/capable of being involved.

It's not written like specific tasks ATM. It's just like a broad, we're going to do this, these people will be involved. The task planning will come much much later.

I'll be updating the document myself with some other work I'm doing so it makes most sense for me to update this particularly lucrative project while I'm there (i.e. rather than send it back and get them to do it)

I'd write to whoever sent the initial forecasting doc and say:

Glad to see our team has landed X project. I am very keen to work on this but note my name is not down for it. Please would you add me to the list if this is an oversight. If I've not been selected when the rest of the team has, it would be really helpful to have feedback why.

Thank you

I'd ask when the kick-off meeting is scheduled.
