Scooter for 6 year old.

Can anyone recommend a scooter (preferably 3 wheeler) for a 6 year old. I’m stuck between a maxi micro (aged 5-12) scooter or a Globber (aged 3-9)

I’ve no idea why this is bursting my brain, but it is. I want one that’ll last. And safety obviously priority. The micro is £40 more expensive than the globber though

Any advice would really be appreciated!

we have the maxi micro (has been passed down by the dc) but it has lasted really well. have a look on places like gumtree and ebay as often people are selling them in really good condition but for less than the RRP x

If they can ride a pedal bike and balance well I'd get a 2 wheeler, it'll last longer

notmytea, I’ve seen a fair few adults (students mainly) using the 3 wheeler. They seem sturdier and dare I say it more fun She has a basic two wheeler but I like the look of the micro maxi which goes to 12 years. Stuck between that and the Globber.

Do you need it to fold?

Not overly bothered about folding, it would be a bonus though!

My 7 year olds have maxi micro two wheeler scooters. They had 3 wheel Glibber scooters when they turned 4 and after 2.5 years use they are well and truly knackered so they don't last as well as a maxi micro does.

I would be surprised if a 3 wheel scooter appeals to a 6yo for much longer. They go much slower than a 2 wheel scooter, are less manuverable and you can do fewer moves.

Forgot to say, both my dc got a micro sprite at around 5 and have used them most days for years and years.

Mine have the maxi micro, my 7 year old is happy with it and he has the three wheeler.
