Giving zero fucks about anything Grin

StealthPolarBear · 14/10/2019 22:15

Really, nothing :o
I may have to admit my childhood dream of being a world famous ballerina have come to nothing.

X post although it works as a response

There must be more.
I'm hoping as children get a bit older well have more money
I'm hoping I'll have free time, whatever that is

Hopefully you won't be menopausal... Yet.

Bat3 · 14/10/2019 22:50

I agree with not giving zero fucks. 🤣

Ifixbrokenthings · 14/10/2019 22:59

I'm not long here in 40 land, but I like it sofar. Left my job, trying something new. Give less fucks about stuff, and drinking too much coffee. All good.

MajesticWhine · 14/10/2019 23:31

I am closer to 50 now, but I have enjoyed my 40s. I don't hugely care what people think of me any more. Good sex drive. I feel like I know what I care about in life. I am not too ancient to try new things and do physically active things.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 15/10/2019 00:43

Haha, the more money thing?

Nah!

They'll need it less often but when they need it it'll be much bigger lumps.

Zero fucks? Yes, got rid of them early on.

I was lucky, only started falling apart physically from 60 onwards, in spite of fairly consistent (fun) abuse.

Forty is fabulous.

My advice?

Don't over analyse.

Happy Birthday Glitterball

I've just turned 40 and I'm quite looking forward to seeing what this decade will bring me.

At 40, I'm more sure of myself - I know what I like and don't like, but still have lots to look forward.

tigerbear · 15/10/2019 09:18

I’m 42 and have LOVED my forties so far.
No word of a lie, as soon as I passed my 40th birthday, my sex drive went through the roof! GrinSmile It’s calmed down a bit, but I’m having the best sex ever!
May be down to the fact that I met the love of my life just before I turned 41, got engaged and now planning our wedding 😊
Loads of great stuff has happened so far, inc as other posters have said, just not caring what other people think anymore.

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2019 21:13

Thank you everyone. I am really pleased to read these. I have specific reasons to hope our finances will improve in the next 3 or 4 years. I was stressed about 40 but now I'm happy. Life is good.

Wait until you get to your 50's. I thought I gave zero fucks in my 40's but it really kicked in for the next decade.
More money, more freedom. It's just marvellous, you finally get 'you' back after years of small children and worrying about what others think.
I feel properly grown-up now Grin

JustaScratcj · 15/10/2019 22:40

42 here. Life has been a little challenging for other reasons but yes, zero fucks. I've realised I actually do know better than the young'uns, I do have value and actually have a ton of opportunity. I feel older physically, for sure, and time is tight, but the future is promising. Welcome to the club.

Pipandmum · 15/10/2019 22:44

I got married at 40, then went on to have two wonderful kids. It was the beginning of a whole new life.

MyHairNeedsASnip · 15/10/2019 22:45

Yep, no fucks, zero shits. It's an absolute ball. Enjoy!

Ohdeariedear · 15/10/2019 22:48

Oh yes, zero fucks are given (or at least a lot less fucks than I have previously). It’s wonderfully liberating.
