What is wrong with me

I keep getting really shivery and achy, I'm surviving from one dose of paracetamol to the next. Once I've had tablets I feel better but get really really hot. No cold or cough. I have an appetite but not been out of bed all day. Horrendous sore throat too. Had the flu jab last Thursday so got an anti vax colleague telling me its cos of the jab

There's lots of viruses going round. Listen to your body and rest, hope you feel better soon. Maybe your colleague will get it next Grin

I’m 100% pro vaccines! But I felt rough after I had a flu vaccine. It passed quite quickly, though.

Oh I hadn't thought of uti although dont think it is that cos got such a bad sore throat. I'm 100% pro vaccines too.

Are there white bits on your tonsils? It sounds like how tonsillitis starts with me. If there are white patches you'll need antibiotics as it'll be bacterial. I've had it 15 times in the last three years, it's horrible. Feel better soon Thanks

Loads of stuff going around atm, could be the start of a virus but it's most likely a bacterial throat infection. Drink plenty of water and gargle regularly. I find a few spoonfuls of honey soothes takes the edge off it for a while.

DM had shivers, dizziness and was very lethargic a few days after her flu jab. It then turned into a bad cold, took her about ten days to recover from it. She's 70 and it really knocked her off her feet.

For sore throats, Tyrozet throat sweets are AMAZING. They gently numb it and have some sort of medicine in. Over the counter from any chemist.

Or there are sprays that numb your throat. You don’t have to suffer this in silence (literally).

When I had the flu jab I felt like this for a week or two after. Felt so achy and horrible! I’m sure I read this is a side effect?

I've been to the doctors today and I've got tonsillitis which is bacterial so I've got antibiotics.
