Easiest elastic laces

We got this type for DD who is just 5 (we are working on shoe tying but she needs to wear the shoes now!) but the sliders are so hard for her to use she has just been pulling them without squeezing and so they have broken.

The link doesn't work for me, but I bought these ones for DS -- they're a bit of a pain to put in, but they don't require any work from him, you just pull on the shoe...?

It's this sorry:

She has Kickers boots and I worry the silicone ones won't open enough at the ankle?

Oh, gosh, I think I concluded those would be too fiddly for DS at five if they were aimed at triathletes! No idea, sorry, about whether the kind I use would stretch enough for Kickers boots. They're cheap, so it might be worth experimenting?

True enough!
DD can manage the concept but can't really squeeze that hard.

Older than you, but we prefer the first type.
Cant get enough slack on the fixed one for him to get his foot in.....

Aged 5, we just got velcro shoes tho. Do they have to be laced style? It's only football boots we havnt managed to buy velcro for until we hit size 3,when trainers all seem to lace too.

They don't, but I couldn't find any Velcro ones in her size that didn't let the water in, but that were not trainer shaped. She has quite big feet for a tiny girl.
