Gynae appointment tomorrow.. (TMI)

And I am on my period. It will definitely involve an internal. I am really, really uncomfortable about it. I had hoped I'd avoid it but it was always going to be close and lo and behold it arrived today. I can only wear pads (hence the reason for the appointment) and the thought of the mess fills me with horror. I think I will try and reschedule in the morning. Has anyone had this? What did you do?

No advice beyond calling and asking for their advice in the morning?

This happened with me. I called and was told to go anyway and not to be embarrassed as they examine people every day who are bleeding. I went veryyy sheepishly but tbh it was all done so dignified that i didnt even really see any of the mess etc, they used paper sheets and whipped them all away

Take some paracetamol 20mins before your appointment if you're concerned with pain too...reschedule it hun if you're really not happy most places are understanding x

When you get a coil fitted, you're supposed to be on your period. My gynae made sure to put a pad under me and ensured I had everything I needed to clean myself up. It's really not an issue for them
