I am now the proud owner of a couple of teeth with gold crowns. Has anyone sold any recently and which company did you use?

I spotted some up for sale in our local auction house today! They were part of a larger lot of gold bits and bobs so not sure what they were valued at.
A bit creepy.

BarbaraofSeville · 13/10/2019 17:43

Moneysavingexpert recommendeds Hatton garden metals for fair prices for scrap gold so it's probably worth looking for their website.

ArnoldBee · 13/10/2019 18:03

Thanks I will. They were my mother's and I don't really fancy keeping them as a family heirloom.

I might at a push if they had belonged to my family but strangers no way, I hope there isn't a market for them, it will upset a lot of people.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/10/2019 18:09

Maybe get the gold melted down and made into a keepsake?

MountainDweller · 13/10/2019 18:44

Do they take them off the deceased routinely or do you have to ask Shock

Fivechatchacha · 13/10/2019 19:56

They are probably a gold alloy so not worth very much. Gold used in dentistry is usually this.

Mrsmorton · 13/10/2019 20:06

Yellow dental gold is up to 90% Gold with a mix of other precious metals so it's worth it.
