Butlins/haven on Halloween

Has anyone been to haven or butlins at Halloween? Is it any good?

What ages would you recommend?

Anyone?

Been to a Haven (Perranporth) over Halloween before, it was ok but as it was near end of season it was a lot of caravan owners there and they were getting preferential treatment by the staff so we did feel like 2nd class citizens all weekend.

• they were getting seated in restaurant / served at bar before us
• their kids being favoured in competitions by entertainment staff...so obviously that the parent of the child who was given “first place” came over and apologised to us as he said it was our son by a long way

Lots of things like that.....kind of put me off going over October half term again.

Daily mail hater - that’s doesn’t sound too good.

It wasn’t great, but may have just been the fact October half term clashes with last week of the season.

They were very good when we checked out and complained and we stayed again over Easter (at a big discount) and it was much better, but don’t think I would go last week of the session again.

I went to Butlins (Bognor Regis) with my DD three years ago during the Halloween season. It was fantastic, the fairground was all dressed up and on the nights it was open late all the ride operatives dressed up really well and played their spooky roles brilliantly. Me and DD still talk about the Zombie surgeon running one of the rides, he was clearly very into the acting involved!

Lots of Halloween crafts/activities and a Halloween disco.

We loved it and had a great time!
