Thinking of booking this for DH's big birthday in 2 years. I realise it gets very booked up so want to book it early so I get what I want and have time to save up. It would be a big deal for us as it would be our only time away from the young DC in 7 years so I want to get it right.
I've been reading and researching but getting myself confused...
So, what is the best time of year to visit Venice? We'll probably only be able to have a day there before coming back but want it to be magical. I was thinking late Sept/early Oct?
Also, is it better to get the Orient Express to Venice or coming back? Which has the best views?
Wondering if it would be more exciting getting the Orient Express to Venice but would it be disappointing flying back? Or would it be sad leaving Venice after such a short time and make the Orient Express less exciting on the way back? I can't quite work it out.
Anyone done it and any tips please?
