I see you can get a 3, 6 and an 8 litre size. Can I ask what you have for a family of 4 please and on reflection is it ok?

Also, amazon have various accessories. Do I need any of these.

Thanks.

I have a 6L and there's only 2 of us. It depends whether you have a family of large eaters (eg teenagers) and if you want lots of leftovers. It comes with a low trivet-I bought a taller one from Amazon so that I can cook in 2 layers. If you want to make cakes/cheesecakes a spring-form pan will be useful. For pot-in-pot cooking, I just got some stainless steel dog bowls. A collapsible steamer is also handy for vegetables. You can get stainless steel or silicon ones.

I loooooove my Instant Pot (Facebook reminds me that it’s our first anniversary today...) We have a 6-litre, which is easily big enough for the three of us. You can easily get 4 servings out of it - but if you want seconds or left-overs you might be better off with the 8-litre. I got a higher trivet from Amazon for doing “pot-in-pot” cooking - I use it with a Pyrex bowl.

We’ve got a 6L instant pot for a family of 3. It does decent sized portions, usually enough for four portions at the least. I think it’s great. It’s nog quite as simple as chuck it in but it certainly speeds up the cooking process and does delicious food!
