I love the ‘what is happening in your house threads’
Our Saturday evening is that we just had a Chinese as it was our staff party last night and me and dh are feeling a bit delicate. Me and Ds are watching Johnathon creek on Netflix and husband has gone up to bed to watch some tv.

In my plan lovely family movie night
In reality kids won’t agree on movie and over tiredness means everyone is losing their mind
I’m on a glass of champagne because I decided fuck it, why save it for a special occassion when it’s more appreciated now 😂

BishopFrownofStThigh · 12/10/2019 19:50

I've eaten, no tv/music on. Radiator and fridge making slight noises in the background.

I did the kitchen, bathroom and vacuuming earlier so not really any housework to do. Flask of tea to my right, no-one back til 10pm, duvet over legs. Want to go to ex's but silly idea so I'll stay here.

thenightfury · 12/10/2019 19:51

DS is in bed
DH in work till 10
So just me and the kitten watching friends on the sofa! Bliss

MissMogwai · 12/10/2019 19:51

Waiting for a Chinese takeaway.

DD is cleaning her room, so much banging and clattering. No doubt all my glasses and plates will appear shortly.

DP is poorly. Much shuffling and poorly voice and looking sorry for himself. He's gone to put his pyjamas and dressing gown on so he can shuffle in comfort. 🙄🚑🙄

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/10/2019 19:52

@SunshineAngel is he going to be coming home happy? DH and DS are at the match and are very happy!

Assuming it's the Grand Final you're on about.

Goawayquickly · 12/10/2019 19:53

Lying on the sofa feeling like death while watching strictly, I’m starving but don’t have the energy to make anything

SunshineAngel · 12/10/2019 19:54

@TheWoollybacksWife Oh yes, we're very very happy!! COYS!

BishopFrownofStThigh · 12/10/2019 19:57

@Goawayquickly oh I hate that feeling. Wish you energy soon!

readingismycardio · 12/10/2019 20:04

Watched a movie and off to watch another with DP! So cozy! We have scented candles and essentials oils in the diffuser (lemon, ylang ylang & geranium- spa like) & the house is warm. We also have snacksGrin

TellySavalashairbrush · 12/10/2019 20:05

Sitting on sofa with my book and phone. Dh just in from work and eating dinner I cooked. Adult dd in bedroom, I told her off for being constantly snappy and rude with me today, so she’s now sulking. Just considering taking night nurse as my cold is still lingering.

LBOCS2 · 12/10/2019 20:06

I'm on my bed doing 'passive drying' after having a shower (AKA just sitting here in a towel). I have a cat keeping me company.

3yo Dd2 is in bed as she fell asleep in front of a film at 6.30. She has a cat with her too.

DD1 is playing minecraft downstairs, I can hear her talking at to DH about it. DH is either listening intently to her chatter or having a sofa-nap after his hard hour of ceiling painting earlier.

I'll go down in a minute. My kindle is down there and I fancy a G&T.

Rodent01 · 12/10/2019 20:07

All 4 of us are watching Strictly, DD2 (2) is doing some impressive imitations of dancing but should be in bed. DD1 (6) is on the sofa under a blanket. I am contemplating glass of wine 2, it’s helping my horrid chemo mouth ulcers (by getting me relaxed and tipsy) DH is having a beer. Love Saturday nights in!!!

CremeEggThief · 12/10/2019 20:07

beckyvardy, it's a French drama series. Season 7 is starting tonight on BBC 4 at 9. They usually do double episodes.

Chunkers · 12/10/2019 20:08

Big Bang on TV (but contemplating season 3 of the Glitch on Netflix).
Wasn’t very hungry (had a sausage roll at 4), so finished a packet of out of date prunes (double whammy) and poured a small glass of red.
Boiler has packed in so snuggled in double fleece and a hot water bottle. Oh, and another cold sore en route...

eternallybaffled · 12/10/2019 20:09

2 DDs and DS1 at grandads for sleepover. Baby DS screeching head off in cot refusing to sleep, OH stuck sat beside him in the room to keep putting him down again and I am sitting with my feet up watching Celebrity Chase and eating profiteroles. Horrible day today so feel no guilt whatsoever!

Chottie · 12/10/2019 20:09

DH cooked tea tonight, fish fingers, grilled tomatoes and grains.
Then we went out for a walk in the rain and saw our first Christmas lights switched on in a neighbour's front garden tree.

DH is lying in bed watching something about past football heroes. I'm felting and watching Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (my secret vice :) )

coffeetofunction · 12/10/2019 20:13

DS in his room -doing god knows what- watching Netflix
DD1 asleep in bed after being able to watch Matilda in her bedroom (which ment she could dance around copying Matilda without me trying to record her)
DD2 tormenting us and the dog in the lounge
DH watching the rugby, while I sit on my phone with a glass of red pretending I actually care about the rugby being played

BarbedBloom · 12/10/2019 20:14

Bad joint day for me so I am reading a book while DH runs a Hoover round. We have dinner on so will have that soon and then watch rest of Marianne on Netflix. One of the cats is wandering around and I suspect the other has pulled open the wardrobe door again and is pulling stuff on the floor - she is far too quiet for my liking

ballstoit · 12/10/2019 20:26

Had curry for tea.

DD1 and DSD are in their rooms on their phones.
DS is in my room on PS4 playing Fifa against a friend online whilst commentating loudly on headphones.

DD2 is writing a story on the sofa with me and the dog while I drink my 2nd gin. Log burner is toasting is.

DH has gone to the shop for chocolate 😍.

PerpendicularVincent · 12/10/2019 20:32

DS is expertly avoiding going to bed, and DH is grumpy washing up.

I feel ill so am on the sofa contemplating a hot water bottle and bed. Cottage pie and roasted vegetables for tea so I'm happy.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 12/10/2019 20:38

update:
We've just got the download link for DD's school leaving fotos
They are from the "handing out of certificates" part and of the party for all pupils, teachers and parents later on.
I went home at ten so I missed out on the dancing.

Equimum · 12/10/2019 20:42

I am sat on the landing, listening to the rain pouring over the guttering and into conservatory roof. DSs are still fidgeting (have returned four year old to bed twice already, which is why I am sat on landing). DH is in the bath. No real plans for this evening, but we’ll probably hit the sofa and watch rubbish on Netflix for a bit, if the kids ever settle.

SospanFrangipan · 12/10/2019 21:00

DH has been put all day watching the rugby final in Manchester, so DS & I have had a toy story marathon :) put DS to bed, ordered a dominos, and now I'm watching a film of my choice while I can! DH will be home in a few hours so will be getting in bed before then so I can starfish 👍

treesurgery · 12/10/2019 21:03

Five of us and we’re all arguing about what to watch on TV. This is a regular occurrence 🙄

Miljah · 12/10/2019 21:08

DH watching some really cheesy sci-fi on TV. He never does that!

DS2, 18, is in the bath. He loves a long hot bath- he will be down in a sec to slap on headphones and game... (trick for teenagers is put their PCs in the dining room, not in bedrooms!).

I am drinking wine, doing this and having a messaging to and fro with DS1, away at uni.

We saw him today, as DS2 did an open day at the adjoining Arts uni.
