Interview during work time?

Currently looking for a new job, but struggle when the advert stipulates that interviews will be on X date when I'm at work.

What do I do? Assuming I may have a few interviews I don't want to upset my employers by pulling sickies but also don't want them to know I'm looking elsewhere 🤷‍♀️ am I missing a trick?

You take a day's holiday. You don't have to give a reason. Your manager shouldn't ask but you could imply that you are doing something personal, slightly embarrassing, yet vague, that might mean a few days holiday every now and then - I have muttered "Tests, you know" and then looked down and walked away!

My logic was that if I didn't get a job in that round of interviews I could just say "Oh, all clear for now Smile " and se the same mutter the next time!

When one supervisor did ask more than was normal I just looked stony faced and said I didn't want to to discuss it, I was only asking for a days annual leave.

Can yin have them conducted during your lunch break? I had a similar dilemma and so used the gym at work to get changed and said that I was off to the dentist during my lunch break so may overrun a bit . What about just before work? If you start work at 9am can you arrange an 8am interview and call In late ? All the best !
