I've got a Dyson v8 I think it is. It's good but kicks back a bit of dust and for a £300 Hoover it shouldn't.

That being said, my parents have got a bad which is good for the price.

Have you had a cordless one before?

VincentVanGoughandhisear · 11/10/2019 20:33

A VAX...not a BAD !

I've had a Gtech for a few years, which I loved. It died recently and I bought a cordless Shark this week and it is amazing!!

daisydalrymple · 11/10/2019 20:41

Go for the cordless Henry if you love him??

daisydalrymple · 11/10/2019 20:43

We have this Henry

PrayingandHoping · 11/10/2019 20:43

I have a Shark stick cordless and it's brilliant. Had a Miele before which people rate buy the shark out performs it by a mile! I couldn't believe the dirt it got out my carpets at the beginning!!

Oh I have 2 dogs so it works hard lol

MyBeloved · 11/10/2019 20:44

Vax blade 2. It's really good. Took back 3 different makes before I settled on this.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 11/10/2019 20:46

I've got the Dyson v11 absolute, its very very good

DancingDella · 11/10/2019 21:10

The Shark ones are good on hard floors but nowhere near as good on carpet as the newer Dysons.

PrayingandHoping · 11/10/2019 21:13

@DancingDella my shark is amazing on carpets!!!! My mum has the Dyson and wants rid to get the same shark as mine lol

DancingDella · 11/10/2019 21:15

Praying What Dyson does your mum have?

PrayingandHoping · 11/10/2019 21:18

No idea but she hasn't had it long and knowing them it would have been considered a good one lol

My shark gets incredible amount of dirt and dog hair out of my carpets and rugs. I would actually say it's better on carpets than hard floors if I had to compare

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 11/10/2019 21:20

Just got the Shark duo clean with 2 batteries (so it will go 40 mins not 20) and am REALLY impressed. It’s light, and convenient and does what you want it to do, ie clean.

OhTheRoses · 11/10/2019 21:24

My vax died. V expensive battery. Now have a dyson and when it goes battery is half the price.

Plug ins win hands down for durability. My Miele is 15 years old. But I have a v bad back and a cordless hits the spot for me to use between cleaner visits.

30not13 · 11/10/2019 21:30

I use a cordless Henry at work and its bloody brilliant

IDontLikeZombies · 11/10/2019 21:58

The big bonus for us is that both DSs are now properly obsessed with hoovering - since we got a cordless I've not had to hoover anything Grin

Floralnomad · 11/10/2019 22:03

I’ve had a couple of Dysons , and my dsis has the latest model and I’ve never been that impressed . The Bosch Athlet is excellent but no good as an all round vac as it’s a faff getting any tools attached ( have one of them ) and I have 2 cordless Sharks which are brilliant . Dsis also has a gtech and although it picks up ok I find it cumbersome and a bit too plasticky .
