Wash leather boots in washing machine?

A pair of my leather ankle boots have been found covered in mould! Can I put them in washing machine? They are timberland ankle boots.... then dry them out properly.....

I wouldn’t. Nail/scrubbing brush & a sink of soapy water followed by drying in the sun/under a radiator (sun will be better as will kill the mildew) will work better as it won’t saturate the leather.
