Has anyone bought a really cheap National Rail ticket to get the discounts on offer from this deal? We want to buy London Eye tickets so are looking to buy the cheapest possible ticket from/to Waterloo so we can save £30 on one of the tickets. Has anyone done this and got any tips?

We did for the Tower of London. Just follow the instructions on their website.

A group of us went to London Zoo using this. We already had the train tickets, which had being bargainous for the length of journey, and found the National Rail deal when looking to see if there were any deals available to go to the zoo. It was quite easy, I think you just had to show your train ticket and print out from the NR website.

But I think in theory you can use any train ticket even one from the station just before Waterloo, but yes, just check the instructions on the website.
