Hello MN

I need cheering up. Just found out I didnt get the job I went for. Lovely feedback however .... Additionally hard as I am trying to get into a new area (not retail) and often get told.. we used someone who had experience.. I get that but I cant change my experience.

What do you all do to cheer yourself up after news like this?

Any fun internet pages to read or stuff to watch?

I just made an error this morning and had to redo the whole thing. Not major and it only took 15 minutes to correct but I felt like crap.

In addition, the job I applied for is in my department and I will have to work with this person, whoever the hell it is. They haven't announced it yet.

(Last night I did the pizza/ice cream comfort combo.)

I’ve been debating what to do today! Felt a bit disheartened by it all despite receiving positive feedback. The job was an internal promotion. They’ve asked me to apply again next time the post comes around, I wasn’t that bothered about it before I found out, now I’m wondering if I should look elsewhere. I need to be challenged and I’m not getting it at the moment. On a positive note I can just do my job and enjoy the run up to Christmas 😀

I went for an interview on 22nd of Dec for my dream job. I already worked there but on a temp contract so knew the building. I spent forever on the application form and read up and researched. The interview went like a dream and I walked to my car grinning knowing it had gone so bloody well.
Half an hour after I got home the phone rang. Yep, they were very, very impressed but had HR not told me that there was a preferred candidate? She wished that there has been 2 jobs and was sorry but on this occasion blah blah blah.....

Wonderful bloody Christmas that was!!
