What is the difference between ensure and complan?

I can see complan has slightly less fat, protein etc but is there anything drastically different I’m missing? Complan seems to be so much cheaper.
I’m buying it for someone who needs to put on and maintain weight, the GP is insisting on ensure but won’t say why to choose that over complan.
Anyone know?

My dad had to take complan for a while instead of meals, so maybe complan is about the same nutrition/calories as a normal meal whereas ensure has more than a normal meal?

Vanilla complan is delicious, I used to really want one instead of whatever our lunch was!

I’ve used Complan when I’ve needed to put on weight especially after a stay in hospital.

I buy the chocolate and banana and split in half to mix together, it’s delicious.

On a daily basis I drink chocolate Meritene which doesn’t make you gain weight but is great for getting vitamins and minerals.

Since I’ve been drinking it my hair has become thicker and more lustrous.

It might be good for your relative in aiding their nutrition as it gives me lots of get up and go!
