Trans men in Women's Refuges?

Are they allowed? I was reading another thread about trans women regarding this issue and was wondering what is the standpoint? I mean those who are XX, born female people, but live/represent themselves in a male role. I haven't seen anything about it ever having happened and was interested to see if anyone knew.

Yes, they would be welcomed into a women's refuge.

This is the shelter which has been vandalised and had threats over their refusal to accept trans women (ie XY people) and they are very clear they accept trans men (XX).

Transwomen are female? How? It is not possible to change sex. Their gender identity is female: their sex is male.

I wouldn't welcome "transmen" in a woman's refuge tbh. They are, of course, genetically female but the level of testosterone they take means their levels of aggression/violence mirror men's level, not women's. Surgically altered women on testosterone look far more convincing as men than men on estrogen trying to pass as women so it's back to the same problem of how to keep predatory/violent men out of women's spaces when any man could claim he's a "transman" & allowed in. 3rd spaces for all trans is what's needed.
