What did you dream?

Carrie7899 · 07/10/2019 23:29

Are you OK?

Anthilda · 07/10/2019 23:35

Omg, it was horrific. I'm frozen on the spot! My heating is blaring I must have forgotten to turn it off and I'm to frightened to go turn it off atm. I dreamt I lost my friends and my bag in a nightclub, I was arguing with friends husband about some damage I'd done to his living room whilst drunk, upon realising I'd lost my bag I went back to look for it but the whole place was a maze and people were laughing at me for going the wrong way. The owner of the club came out of his office n said is this your phone and I said yes, took it off him but he said I could only have it if I pop in the shop for him (with him) in his car. I said no I dont go in strangers cars but he somehow tricked me and before I could do anything I was trapped in his car with him and s driver. The phone wasn't even mine it was a trick then I was in a disused warehouse and as much as I tried to run he was much quicker and stronger. It was like something out of the movie taken. I woke up shaky but kind of legs paralysed. I've had sleep paralysis before and now I'm so scared.
Sorry it's a ramble I'm disorientated.

I could see them luring others, at one point I escaped but even people who I assumed were pedestrians were chasing me and taking me back. I'm so glad I'm awake. I often have dreams like this. I'm just so spooked now with the whole 'evil' feel of it.
Thank you for responding.

Are you on Amytriptaline or going through the menapause/ bereavement. All can cause bloody awful dreams. Otherwise general anxiety can cause these dreams.

Anthilda · 07/10/2019 23:46

Not on any medication at all but I get what you mean, I've been on anxiety pills in the past and that is a side effect. I've been poorly today and quite anxious about phoning in sick, maybe it's that? I'll never get to sleep now and I need to he up at 6 Sad

Tbh, years ago I went through some serious psychological abuse and I've never been right since. Infact, the person who abused me (irl) was the one who was chasing me and catching me, the one who trapped me in the car! Shudder.

Maybe go to GP and try to access some counselling. There may be unresolved issues that need addressing.

Anthilda · 08/10/2019 00:00

I've had it all @Finfintytint, I suppose it's just something I have to try and manage. Thank you so much for responding. I could have phoned someone but baby will wake. I'm feeling brave enough to go to the loo and check my heating is not on. Smile

Please go back to GP. There are many treatments available. You can try to manage this. EMDR really helped me with past trauma though my work financed this.

Anthilda · 08/10/2019 00:43

It is definitely worth a consideration I suppose. I dont like to bother the gp and it's a nightmare getting an appointment but i will try. I feel much better now and been down to check the heating which has been off all along!
