We are thinking of going next year and I was hoping there might be people with hints and tips before we book. It seems the best time to go is Easter for the weather? We are restricted to school holidays and don't want it too hot.

Can anyone recommend hotels? Or villas? For younger children would you just do Disney parks rather than universal?

Is the quick service meal plan ok or chaotic?

Thanks for any help!

Sorry, just read your other questions. We stayed at Disney Beach Club near Epcot and then moved to Portofino Bay at Universal, as it gave us unlimited front of line passes to Universal rides.

We preferred the Disney hotel - more modern and better service (they upgraded us to club level as a surprise when my son managed to drop his brand new mobile phone in their lake on the first morning).

If it was me, I’d stick to Disney only with young kids. Universal is a different experience, more rollercoaster type rides and quite a lot of 3D simulator type rides, some of which even my 11 year old son found a bit scary. That said, the Harry Potter part is impressive, but again the two big rides are quite intense for kids.

Didn’t do the meal plans so can’t comment on them.

We particularly enjoyed Animal Kingdom, some lovely rides.
