Learning to draw

I'm a total beginner but would love to learn how to draw. I wasn't a particularly good artist at school but I'm hopeful I could get beyond a stick man with some practice. Any recommendations for books that might help for the complete and utter beginner?

Yes! Try 'You can draw in 30 days' by Mark Kistler. You will surprise yourself. DD is on day 14 and is thrilled with her progress.

Thank you! That's great, I'll check it out. There's a range of 'drawing for beginner' books if you Google but I'm not sure they're all quite as beginner as I need!
