I have a dress that is clean but very badly needs steaming to get the creases out and I have no idea how to do it! Dress is satin and does say I can iron it but I am wary because of the fabric! pic attached any suggestions would really help thank you Smile

Hang it in the bathroom while you have a shower!

@Yoghurtflavours Thank you I will try that tonight x

As above but actually turn the shower on it to get it damp then leave hanging to dry -assuming you don't need it tonight! I often do this with work dresses as I'm too lazy to iron

You can buy hand held steamers fairly cheaply, try ebay, though they are a faff.

I'd be tempted to try the iron, on a mid setting, on the inside of the dress, near the hem or somewhere unobtrusive.
If nothing terrible happens then I would inch the heat up a tiny tad, see if it's still fine and then iron away.

Silk satin or polyester satin?

I’d go with a low heat iron and put a tea towel over the dress first before ironing. Steam could ruin a silk satin dress but ironing wouldn’t

thank you all so much! I felt completely useless and you have helped me Smile

@Yoghurtflavours @Icedlatte I have just tried to Steam it in the shower and I don't think it was very successful but I also think I made a faff out of it!

@TheWeatherGirl1 @Magpiefeather I am going to give ironing on a very low setting a go tomorrow, no idea about the satin combination but it's from coast so I would assume Satin Polyester.
