If you sleep walked would you know?

Due to a recordin of what looks like my foot getting out of bed at 4.30am, I don’t have any recognition of it at all, how would I know if I sleep walked?
I’m very stressed and worrying that this is causing me to sleep walk but I’m not sure if that’s even possible!
My 7 year old has also never witnessed me do it or my partner 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’m so confused and scared at the same time! Help ❤️

Occasionally I know because I wake up mid sleep walk. Or because dp has told me, or at uni/ in my teens friends told me. Or as a child cos parents woke me. Sometimes because I find the evidence of whatever I was doing the next morning.

I've done it as long as I can remember, it's more likely the rare occasions when I'm stressed/ upset. Mostly it's just because it's part of a vivid dream. Dps theory is that I can't even sleep without being hyperactive.

If you're concerned that you'll go walking outside, put the oven on etc, then just put in place something that requires thought. I'm very good at doing routine things in my sleep, but tend to wake up/ leave it if it's out of the ordinary. So eg I can unlock the door when I'm asleep, but if the chain is on I can't, because undoing it isn't a normal daily action.
