Fund Raising Ideas?

Have posted in charities but got no response so I'll post here!

Hello all, I have just signed up for a charity bike ride and I need to raise £3500.
I am trying to think of fundraising ideas and have a few

go fund me page
Contacting the banks and ask for help (through their charities policies)
Bottle stalls at Christmas / summer fairs
Raffle with local companies donating prizes
Race night

Does anyone have any other ideas? Or letter templates? Or know of a good race night company / package?
Many thanks

Where do you work? Will they match fund your total?
You'll be very lucky to get sponsorship from banks (unless you work there) as they normally only give direct to registered charities.
Can you get your local pub involved (if you have one and perhaps if they know you) - quiz nights, bar collections etc.
Ask everyone to save their small change - it can add up - but you'll need to spread your net widely.
Sell/car boot all your unwanted stuff and donate the total to yourself.
Offer services - ironing, dog walking, babysitting (or preferably something professional and in demand - hairdressing, interior design) and donate your total as above.

Oh, and put as big a dollop as you can afford in yourself to start off your fund - it always looks better if the pot isn't empty to start with. If you don't believe in yourself, who else will?

A friend of mine raised money by selling fantastic homemade scones whenever possible to as many people as she could Grin

Large charities produce fundraising packs for their supporters to encourage them to fundraise which should have ideas in them - if you do an internet search you should be able to download a few examples. The charity you're fundraising for might have one of their own and should be able to give you some ideas/help.

If you're going to do a car boot then ask other people to have a clear out and donate their stuff too and make it clear on your stall that the money is going to a particular charity. I once did this with DS and not only did we sell everything we took but we also had people giving us donations even if they weren't buying anything.
