Where did you store your will?

I have recently made my will- which is a relief as I'm the sole carer of a young child.

However I'm stuck as to what to do with the original embossed copy. I don't have a regular solicitor who I do business with. The Will was prepared on an ad hoc basis by a solicitor consultant.

What's the best option? Bank? How do you go about it?

Best thing to do is find a solicitor, you will have to pay a fee, but they will store it for you, and make sure your nearest and dearest know where to find it.
Or you can lodge it with the Probate Service, still a fee to pay, but again, make sure family know.
Or you can store it yourself in a safe place, as above make sure people know where it is.

Mine is in storage with the Co-Op. I also have a copy at home and my husband, sister (executor) and son know where it is

You can just Google 'how to store a will', and it will give you the important info. I have a copy of mine at home and the solicitor who wrote it has the original. It is so important that family/executors know where the original is, so they can do probate if necessary.
Any solicitor will store a will, it doesn't have to be the one who wrote it for you, but you may have to pay a flat fee.
