Digital music only

We think it's time to get rid of our CDs as we hardly ever listen to them. We have:
An ancient WiFi player in my sewing cave
A digital radio that records in the kitchen
A Google Mini in DS bedroom to help him sleep
A CD player in the dining room which I'd like to replace with a Google speaker.

We use Spotify (free) in the car but I think I'll miss most just being able to flick through the stack of CDs to play something in the car or the dining room. Picking them by cover IYSWIM and remembering things I haven't listened to for ages.

The music is currently on a household server but I think I might be able to put it on Google Drive or Dropbox as well or instead to play in the car/on the Google speakers?

Any ideas I haven't thought of?
DH and I have Android phones and the DCs are too young to have phones if that makes a difference.

I still have a few CDs but I also have Apple Music and there’s very little on there I can’t find. I play via a cable into my car radio and stream through Alexa at home.

So long as you can easily get it off the server I wouldn’t do anything else.

Do you just search or do you find you can randomly browse too?

We haven't had CD's for at least 8 years now.

As a family (for various boring reasons) we seem to be the only ones who use Deezer. It costs £14.99 a month - the cost of a CD basically. The only thing I've not been able to get is Garth Brooks because he's a dick but we can get him on Amazon Prime which is free with our annual account.

I think we're going to either subscribe to Spotify or just download albums or songs for new music TBH.

@TreacherousPissFlap my mum uses Deezer, when she looked into it, I think she said it had the best music for her and her partner’s taste.

Not sure about Spotify, I just remember I preferred the interface of Apple Music when looking at it - with AM you can just browse. It also has ‘essentials’ playlists which are good if you like a couple of songs by a particular artist but aren’t sure where to go next.

We've discovered that we can get an app interface for our existing server so we're all good! Happy evening on the sofa tag teaming checking Ziffit.
