further to topic on eating in bed, do you get up to clean your teeth afterwards or do you go to sleep without cleaning your teeth?

Having to get up again always puts me off eating in bed .

I never eat in bed tbh

Hold34 · 05/10/2019 07:41

Is eating in bed a thing? I've heard of breakfast in bed but had no idea people do this in the evenings?

Biancadelrioisback · 05/10/2019 07:49

Yup! I take my plate downstairs too so stop off in the bathroom on the way

Can you please link to the thread?

I would have thought between eating whatever you're eating in bed and going to sleep you would need a wee at some point so would.clean my teeth then! I don't eat in bed though, bed is for sex and sleeping only.

StumpyinSomerset · 05/10/2019 07:56

I never eat in bed, myself.Think of the crumbs and the smell in the bedroom.

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 05/10/2019 08:00

Simple:
2nd toothbrush/paste/floss kept in bedside drawer.

No need then to leave your warm and cosy bed, after a romantic picnic.

(Be mindful not to confuse the rinsing water glass with the penis beaker, though).

Bucatini · 05/10/2019 08:01

I never eat in bed.

WindsweptEgret · 05/10/2019 08:05

I don't eat in bed, but even if I do under a quilt on the sofa I still have to take the bowl or plate to the kitchen when I've finished, wouldn't you be getting up anyway?

adaline · 05/10/2019 08:09

No food in the bedroom here.

Fairylea · 05/10/2019 08:10

No food upstairs here. Can’t be dealing with the mess and smells. Urgh.

pusspuss9 · 05/10/2019 08:17

the thread I refer to is 'what time do you eat your evening meal' . There are comments on that thread about eating in bed.

Why would you eat in bed in the evening unless you are an invalid? Breakfast in bed makes sense, but dinner? I guess if it is a one off you could just not brush your teeth that time, but I can't see how that would be good for your oral hygiene if it's a regular thing 🤷‍♀️

jomaIone · 05/10/2019 08:29

I don't think people are eating their evening meal and then just lying down and going to sleep, there'll be up and down in the time after eating surely?

mistermagpie · 05/10/2019 08:32

Eating your evening meal in bed?! So like, a plate of shepherds pie while snuggled under the duvet? Ugh, no.

I don't even get along with the idea of watching tv in bed though, so this all kinds of wrong to me.

KUGA · 05/10/2019 08:44

I have never eaten in bed BUT if I did I would brush before going to sleep.

Poetryinaction · 05/10/2019 08:46

I wouldn't eat in bed.

DontLettuceBrexitLettuceRomain · 05/10/2019 09:04

I don't think anyone's eating their evening meal Grin I think it's more snacks/chocolate etc

mrsk28 · 05/10/2019 09:15

Don't eat in bed and you shouldn't brush your teeth for an hour after you eat because you're basically just brushing sugar etc into your teeth

Biancadelrioisback · 05/10/2019 13:19

DH and I have pizza and pillow nights in bed. Usually will watch a film too and have a bottle of wine. We take all the stuff downstairs before we "turn in" then do teeth etc on the way back
