Why are you awake?

Musical beds in my house tonight so I'm in DCs bed contemplating the very nice dream I had before I was rudely awakened that Cillian Murphy started work in my office Blush

What has you all up at this ungodly hour?

I am in work an hour earlier than should be as i had not been paid and wanted to check I had enough money to put on my oyster card as, otherwise, I would have to walk. Takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Luckily I had about £7 in loose change but decided not to go back home as I would then 'faff' and might be late.

I feel like I am sleep walking!

Bunnybigears · 05/10/2019 06:04

Been up since 5 now sat poolside while DS 9 swims for the next 2 hours. I hate Saturday mornings all the other parents are wide awake chatting etc I am trying not to push someone in the pool I am not a morning person.

Shahlalala · 05/10/2019 06:06

Been up since 2ish with cluster feeding baby.

Sparrowlegs248 · 05/10/2019 06:07

2 yr old in bed with me, asleep but incredibly fidgety. 4 yr old coughing.

yearinyearout · 05/10/2019 06:08

Coughing since 4.30am and now wondering if I can be arsed to go to the theatre this afternoon when I'd rather stay home and have a nap.

imip · 05/10/2019 06:11

Up since 4am with period from hell. Thought I’d bled out! Too scared to go back to sleep in case I leak over the bed.

StayInYourLaneBoy · 05/10/2019 06:16

Sirens. Some police chase and loads of sirens going on for ages woke me up about an hour ago and now cant get back to sleep

tooyoungat40 · 05/10/2019 06:30

An hour ahead here. Been awake since 6 am (our time) when a ship in the harbour blared its horn. Fucker!

My self-employed accounts woman has completely messed up my company accounts. She’s double entered 2 months worth of invoices, she’s completely changed the filing system and she refuses to use a calculator so I have no idea how she’s planning to reconcile some of the trickier accounts (like PayPal where you have to add up the fees). I’m paying her £15 an hour and in the last 6 weeks, I’ve paid her to pretty much only do what I’ve already done. Shes also double entered some of her own transactions as she doesn’t write anything down and she has a weird way of entering payments on to the system, which means I can’t chase those who owe us money as I don’t know who does!
We’ve gone through 2500 sheets of paper too. Her desk is literally covered in sheets of paper.

Ideally I’d like to tell her not to bother coming in again so I’m awake trying to remember if she’s left anything personal on her desk. Also trying to figure out if she’s going to be able to sort this, or indeed if I am, before my VAT is due at the end of the month.

Justgivemesomepeace · 05/10/2019 06:54

Im full of a cold and woke up as i cant breathe, my lips are cracked and needed a drink as my mouth is dry and my nose is running like a tap but totally blocked. Lovely.

DontLettuceBrexitLettuceRomain · 05/10/2019 07:01

I know it's not the middle of the night now but I woke at 6am in my first opportunity for a lie in in weeks Hmm stressed about going on holiday tomorrow - nothing is sorted - and about my job - I really need to find a new one but I'm angry I have to leave.

Bunnybigears · 05/10/2019 07:19

Chillychicken in my experience I would tell her not to come in, give everything to a firm of accountants to sort out (pay their probably extortionate fee) then at least you have a proper starting point for whoever you get in to take over. There is nothing worse than messed up accounts.

December2019 · 05/10/2019 07:25

I was up at 4:30... 9 month old keeps waking at that time really hungry!
Also 29 weeks pregnant with no2 and just too exhausted... chocolate is my friend today!

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/10/2019 07:25

My friend told me last night that her DC was hospitalised and I haven’t heard anything since and my nighttime brain has been catastrophising.

BookWitch · 05/10/2019 07:25

I teach ESL online and I started work at 6am.
I am on a break now, will finish by 11 though and then I'm done for the day.
