Yeh, people get cats to keep out the vermin. When actually they tend to bring them in. We’ve had everything from mice to rats to bats to snakes to birds, off the top of my head. Cats are evil

Only one?! Fuck we get one every day. Except on the days we get birds.

On the plus side, we are now all equally as good at catching small rodents as the cats are... Go us Hmm

Oh I found a headless one on the kitchen floor the other morning...……..not sure about the head; has it been eaten or what!

We have mice and rats in the chicken coop. the cat does a reasonable job. However DH will occasionally take a chair, a few cans of beer and a air pistol and sit in the chicken coop to help the cat out.

The cats I had only on 2 occasions brought anything in.

The weirdest, and I swear I'm not joking, was when I'd been singing The Wurzels "Where Be That Blackbird Too?" at one of them. Later that night, I found a blackbird chick crawling around on the doormat (it died later, unfortunately, despite my best efforts) and another sadly deceased one outside. Blackbirds, two.

Didn't sing that around them anymore.
