I'm up with a puking 4yo, why are you up?

She's asleep now (hence me posting) but not sure for how long.

She's been ill for a week now. Diarrhoea last Thurs and Fri, little bit of sickness Sunday accompanied by lethargy, lack of appetite. Was back at school Weds and Thurs and then about 8pm this evening began to complain of a tummy ache. Been puking since midnight.

Baby has had diarrhoea, my tummy is all over the place, DP works away Mon-Fri. Praying the 6yo escapes (but he wont!!)

Hope this isn't a sign of things to come? It's going to be a long winter.

Yup I'm cleaning up sick too. My 14 mo was asleep, coughed, was sick then went back to sleep while I cleaned up around him. He's in my bed so I've folded the sheet over for now rather than change a super king sheet. Earlier 4yo crawled in on my other side and is complaining of bad dreams where she is under a car 😥. DH meanwhile sleeping soundly in spare room.

Went to get a drink but DH has turned the water off overnight as the boiler is leaking and came through the kitchen ceiling last year. Had to make do drinking from children's night water bottle.
I'm going to be great company in work later today.

123Bananas, I'm so sorry for your loss 💐

I fell asleep on the sofa at about 8.30pm. Woke up about an hour ago, sorted boys school uniforms for morning and now wide awake!

🙄👌

Poor DD!

DS woke up wanting milk. His sleep has been getting worse and worse for a month or two but he’s ill and we’re on holiday, and I just don’t have the energy to spend half an hour trying to shush him back to sleep, so I’ve given up and I’m feeding him.

bananallamas · 04/10/2019 03:53

This is already my second wake up to feed DD 9 months and there will definitely be more to come between now and 6am. Sigh! No sign of her sleeping through any time soon. I also had a terrible nightmare just before, I was trying to run away from a gunman, it was so so horrible. So now there's no chance of me going back to sleep!

Lily2811 · 04/10/2019 03:54

2 weeks of night shifts so body clock has no idea what it's doing. Oh and anxiety.

Tara336 · 04/10/2019 03:58

Anxiety

badfurday · 04/10/2019 04:04

7 months pregnant. Uncomfortable, leg cramps, heart burn, baby kicking. You name it....🙄 work in a couple of hours, yay! 😬

Redshoesandtheblues · 04/10/2019 04:06

I'm so sorry for everyone, but especially when it's sadness or grief keeping you awake.

I'm both . Various reasons.

Went to bed early, couldn't settle, then mind churning....
Not conducive to sleep!

user764329056 · 04/10/2019 04:10

Mind working overtime, going to listen to music to aid sleep, hopefully it will help

BindTheWobbinUp · 04/10/2019 04:14

Forgot to silence phone last night and woke up at 2.30 to a message from friend in Oz.
OH has been snoring his head off since 3 so I'm downstairs on sofa.

TinyMystery · 04/10/2019 04:31

DS fast asleep now but I now have an upset tummy!

daffodilrosedaisy · 04/10/2019 04:42

Bloody awful cold. Can’t breathe, so can’t sleep! Had to take yesterday off work. Not sure if i’ll make it in today

AlrightBabby · 04/10/2019 04:51

I'm awake because of bloody insomnia which the menopause has cranked up a couple of gears. This is the second time in a week I'll probably see the sun rise (well, it'll get a bit lighter perhaps)

Doing a bit of lesson planning (but don't all teachers finish work at 3pm) , but thankfully it's my day off tomorrow so I can have a snooze if I need one.

cordeliavorkosigan · 04/10/2019 04:53

Another one in Vancouver. Just took the DC for sushi :)

DoYouTakeSelfEsteem · 04/10/2019 04:57

4yo DD has been awake since 4. She's full of cold and just can't get comfortable bless her.

I'm snotty too, so no chance of us going back to sleep Sad

Trisha01 · 04/10/2019 05:09

New Jack russell puppy who is 8 weeks old. She has just woken for a feed, really pleased she has slept through until 4.30.

Hope your dd is better soon OP.

BishopFrownofStThigh · 04/10/2019 05:19

Got a few hours cleaning to do but am sick and cold and very reluctant to start so keep delaying getting up.

Also although I'm wearing nightie, knickers and tights are across the room so if I get out of the duvets I have to do a mad scramble across the room and shiver to retrieve them

sashh · 04/10/2019 05:23

I'm here aking coffee for all the early risers.

Crunchymum · 04/10/2019 06:29

4yo managed to sleep since I poster.
Me not so much.

Now I need to figure out how to get the older child to school in a bit.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Hope things are better today crunchmum . Got 3 hours sleep before the school run, but only half the kids at school today due to inset. Now to clean my germ ridden house around the rest. Going to bleach everything.

PurpleDaisies · 04/10/2019 10:21

I’m very envious of the Vancouver residents. Visited a few years ago and loved it.

Got a few hours sleep but feel awful this morning.
