I'll start ,
rubbish start traffic was gridlock again so was late for work . I actually wanted to cry in my car due to frustration and tiredness.
Anyway got to work, ok day in the end , quite a productive day got loads done and the drive home was better .
I bought a bottle of wine as a treat and now I'm home in my pjs with a glass . Grin
Anyone else good or bad ?

Good: baby was napping better today
Bad: my throat feels scratchy and I’m cold

HotChocolateLover · 03/10/2019 20:38

Clutch gone on the car. DH has been waiting three hours for Green Flag and is still not home. On the positive side, the house is now lovely and toasty because we have a new boiler.

RoseyOldCrow · 03/10/2019 20:47

Good: caught up with a dear friend, made a decent Christmas cake, had a gentle 1:1 yoga session, made fab Malaysian dry pork curry for tea.
Bad: leg pain & intense fatigue from the above.

happypotamus · 03/10/2019 20:52

Good things: went out for lunch with DH, went to yo sushi for the first time, found a lovely dress in a sale and persuaded DH I should buy it and he will give it me as a birthday present in a few weeks
Bad things: spent far too much money, didn't find a birthday present for DC2, the NHS symptom checker says I am depressed and I am not as sure as I used to be that it's wrong, my house is still a tip

Made a tit out of myself in wilkos. I had a suitcase with me on the up escalator when I lost it and it shot back down like a snowboard at high speed. So I turned around and got on the down escalator only to notice shop assistant had come running and was on the up escalator with suitcase

So waited at the bottom for him to come back down and he firmly directed me to the lift.

Then I saw a lovely made up display bed so started to go for a catnap when I caught myself in time. I was tired.

Had a nice nap when I got home.

Fivechatchacha · 03/10/2019 22:11

BishopFrown, that sounds like comedy gold Grin
Good: had a nice relaxing spa treatment
Bad: DS's behaviour was pretty crappy tonight

FleurNancy · 03/10/2019 22:20

Good: tidied an entire chest of drawers (wrapping paper, cards, stationery, general stuff)
Bad: tidied it to look for my niece's birthday present which I swear was in there but isn't after all. Bollocks.

trevthecat · 03/10/2019 22:30

Bad - my youngest (nearly 2) threw an enormous wobbler in Aldi, I actually had to do a shop or I would of just left.

Good - this evening in the bath he picked up 2 bath toys and looked at them both then said ' two'
Only a little thing but made me happy

elp30 · 03/10/2019 22:35

The bad:

Grandchildren live with me temporarily (ages 7 & 3 y.o. twins) and we don't have access to a car this week. We live in the suburbs of a large city but it has no public transportation, the estate we live in has no pavements so it's difficult to get around with traffic and since my children are grown, my back garden has nothing in it for kids to play and no nearby parks that are easily accessible. We have exhausted every avenue for fun and now the kids have decided to trash everything in the house out of boredom.

The good:

It's pizza night and I am comforted that it will at least cheer them up for a bit as it's their favorite food.
Plus, I have some wine chilling once they've gone to bed.

NorthernPowermouse · 03/10/2019 22:36

Good - rare recognition at work.
Made it home for kids’ bedtime when I didn’t think I would.
Yummy baked Camembert and wine for tea, plus catching up with some of my progs tonight.
Avoided crappy meeting this afternoon.

Bad -
Ds still playing up at school.
Something I needed to be done at work wasn’t.
Possible arseholery by colleague - but not sure if I’m overthinking it or not...

Cherylshaw · 03/10/2019 22:38

good - made a really nice cake at work

bad - got soaked in the rain

Biancadelrioisback · 03/10/2019 22:40

Bad: no one at work spoke to me today
Good: I found a new flavour of crisps I like

WhoKnewBeefStew · 03/10/2019 22:41

Woke up with a massive headache and had to miss a meeting with a new client which doesn't look good, or make a great first impression.

Good thing was m, I got to spend the day in bed and get some sleep and now my headache has gone

Croquembou · 03/10/2019 22:42

Bad - commute was shit in both directions, office was freezing, very sleepy

Good - weekend away with my husband is now very close. It was meant to be after my 12 week scan to celebrate but I miscarried a couple of weeks ago but we decided to still do it anyway. I'm going to drink ALL the cocktails and cuddle the shit out of my husband who's been a complete hero.

YukoandHiro · 03/10/2019 23:01

Good: Powered through a lot of stuff at work so feeling clear headed
Bad: read "Room on the Broom" to my 26 month old at bedtime and she freaked out at the dragon and was whimpering about it at bedtime Confused

Hoolajerry · 03/10/2019 23:10

Bad - I was late for everything.
Good - I helped a man sorting out some housing. He was very grateful

RickOShay · 03/10/2019 23:10

Good lovely walk on the beach with dogs, all blue, grey and golden
Bad didn’t do lots of niggly jobs that I should have done

StealthToddler · 03/10/2019 23:35

Good - finished another cycle of chemo

Bad - DF's partner was diagnosed with cancer

All a bit 💩 really

Bloodybridget · 03/10/2019 23:45

Bad: coughing and sneezing.
Good: made nice connection with neighbour's toddler when we met for a coffee. No phone call from hospital so looks like chemo will go ahead tomorrow. Friend came for supper bringing delicious pudding. Dear cousin from US will visit next week. So lots of good - thanks OP for helping me focus on that!
