Cheap ideas for large white wall in kitchen

We’ve got an 18ft blank wall in the kitchen. Kitchen is painted white. I don’t want to wallpaper cause of the grease. Can’t really afford any nice art work and a large mirror would be expensive too. Any idea? Painting it a different colour could work.

Following for ideas, as we have the same. I've been wondering about a vintage kitchen cabinet is some kind of shallow shelving unit.

You could frame some nice wallpaper.
If you have kids, you could use chalkboard paint and paint a large square with it.
You could put up a shelf.
Some kind of decal?

Have you got kids/small kids? We've got a load of cheap frames up covering a wall with the kids pictures framed. Every so we often we change the pictures but have kept some first paintings/scribbles up. It actually looks quite nice (I think!)

Paint a Bridget Riley on it, like Movement in Squares.

We had the chalk board and kids art up but youngest has just started secondary and was starting to feel embarrassed when his mates came round so it’s had to go, we’ve painted white over it. I think we’ll just have to save up for a nice canvas or something and put up with the bare wall in the mean time.

I have a map wall....old OS maps pasted up like wallpaper and then I buy cheapo wooden frames in different sizes and as we gad about the country I put photos in of the day we went out.

Another idea I had was to go through all my photos and make a rainbow gallery....so just print and frame assorted photos in all the colours and hang them in rainbow order iyswim
