NC as this is very outing.
So, my DS headmaster is well into his rugby for a local team, I’ll call it Club A. His boys play for the team and he helps them out with training. A few boys in the school play for the rival team to his, Club B. Whenever a school tournament comes up, the boys who play for his team always get picked to go, when I ask why my DS isn’t going he said “oh, I didn’t know he played for a team” which he blatantly does as our teams have played against each other and I’ve spoken to him at a match. Other Club B players are also left out, not just my DS.
Locally, the schools were asked to put forward players from year 6 to try out for A large local team which is a league above where they are playing now (quite a big deal). He didn’t put any forward as he didn’t have any from Club A in that year group, so a couple of club B players missed out as he declined the invite. We only found out after the trials had been done. His response was “ah well, nothing I can do about it now”.
He blatantly favours those pupils who play for Club A, to the point that even the children’s reports get special treatment. My DS had a statement off him which was generic copy/paste insert relevant name. His friend who plays for Team A had a gushing statement saying how well he was doing in his rugby and how proud his parents must be.
I just need to vent as I don’t know who I could go to about this. It’s very frustrating and players are missing out on opportunities because of him.
