Boring boiler thread Viessmann

So just as the weather turns really cold and Hurricane Lorenzo is gracing us with the tail end of his rampage, I wake up to our boiler leaking and definitely on its way out.

Online searches have thrown up Viessmann boilers. I am looking for views/recommendations as I haven't heard of them.

Anyone have one of these and can give me any opinions either way?

I have a quote from a company called Heatable to install and supply a new boiler at £1950 + VAT. They take the old one away too. Seems reasonable to me but what do I know about boilers?!?

TIA

Had a Viesmann boiler. Loved it. They are the Rolls Royce of boilers it seems

Viessmann comes 3rd in the Which magazine boiler review this month. (After a few bad winters, I know more about boilers than I ever wanted to). It gets 88%. Worcester Bosch gets 90% and Vaillant gets 89%. All 3 are marked as best buys and all 3 brands get 5 *s from their customer satisfaction survey.
We ended up getting a Vaillant because I asked a number of gas engineers (because the old boiler died so slowly) which was the brand they were most relieved to see when they opened the cupboard.

That's encouraging to hear, thank you both.

My parents always had Vaillant, it's the only one I know.

This house has a Ferroli which was here when we moved and is now leaking. Every gas engineer sucks their teeth and doesn't know what to do with them!
