Can dogs and kids catch the same bug?

Ds just started puking. After I cleaned him up and got him in bed Ddog jumps off the bed an dproceeds to puke everywhere.

Is it just a coincidence? Ddog has never puked before.

Urgh. Now I'm feeling queasy and I don't know if it's just because of clean up duty or not.

Or dog just did a puke in solidarity to your DC?

Unlikely. Zoonosis is very rare.
More likely the smell of vom made the dog vom - or did dog eat some of the vom? My sister's old dog had form for that.
