Boss is quick to be offended

Wrote some feedback for boss today along these lines:

“I worked with Henry on xxx task for 3 weeks

He explained things clearly and presented me with the opportunity to help with a variety of tasks central to my growth and development including xxx

His insightful feedback following this has helped me to identify areas of focus for me going forward, which has been very useful”

How does this read, too cold?

Too cold? No it all sounds positive about Henry. Unless I'm reading it completely wrong Confused

Sounds overly formal and stilted to me, but maybe that is the style used in your company, or your line of work ?

Why would you be writing feedback on someone senior to you ?

Looks formal as though to be used in something like an annual report or somesuch. I think it’s appropriate for the workplace. Uses the kind of language ours uses. All good.
