Removing fabric glue.

In my wisdom I glued cub badges on my son’s uniform . Now a scout I want to remove staged badges for scouts uniform. Any ideas how to do this without cutting up the jumper?

Would ironing it work? Heat it enough to melt the glue and then peel the patches off?

I don’t know I have a pike of ironing but if that doesn’t work will try the fabric remover . Thank you
