Printer recommendation for kids homework, cheap and reliable

I'm not sure it even needs to be colour ... do kids (years 7&9) ever get homework which requires colour?
We both have access to colour printers where we work.
I don't want a monthly subscription cos' it will literally be a handful of pages every month.
I'd also prefer to be able to use cheap compatible toner cartridges etc.
It won't be required for printing photos or anything fancy.
Thanks

I have the samsung m2020 Express.

Ink lasts forever.. toner cartridges about £40 ams about 1000 pages from that.

Quick, reliable, small, and cheap. Wifi printing, and NFC so I can tap my phone on it SMS print whatever's on my screen, or send files from phone to print via app.

Love it. They do a colour one also :)

If inkjets do get clogged is quick and easy enough to runthe cleaning setting on the printer to sort it. I use my inkjet about once a year (and then for about 500 pages - accounts/tax return joys!) - it can be a little dry when it first starts but sorts in a couple of pages. It's fine if I've used it once every few months - if you're printing even once a month you won't have a problem.

Steer clear of epson, ive had a few and they seem cheaply made, ready to break easily and only like their own cartridges. Ive had much more success with HP.
