ok so i am unemployed, single parent and 24 weeks pregnant
baby wasn't planned and i have a 5 year ols with special needs whom i get carers allowance and income support etc for (he isnt even in full time school yet due to unable to get in a specialist school and him not coping in mainstream so a job is out tje question right now)
so my midwife gave me my mat b1 form.
I had this with my son and it entitled me to maternity pay etc
do i need to hand it to anyone this time? i havent worked since i had my son 5 years ago so i dont qualify for maternity pay/allowance this time around
like do i even need this form this time around?

Yes, I'm pretty sure you need it to provide evidence of pregnancy to the benefits office.

I’m not going to judge you. I’ve no right to.
Like pp says I would imagine you do need to hand in proof of your pregnancy to the job centre
