I’m wondering if allergies can be triggered by houseplants? I got a bit houseplant obsessed in the last few years. I’ve got a selection of cacti, snake plants, a couple of palms and a gigantic cheeseplant. Just after I bought the cheeseplant I started getting a terrible cough with wheezing. Dr diagnosed asthma and I’ve now got a preventer inhaler and regular appointments with a nurse. They also upped my antihistamine levels as I always have allergy issues anyway (dust mite and grass allergies). It’s pretty much under control now but this all dates back to when the cheeseplant arrived. Dh reckons he has felt more coughy since it turned up too.
Am I loopy or is this a thing?! I love it so much I don’t want to get rid of it...
