Best 0-4yrs swivel extended rear facing car seat?

Hi,

As the title says really looking for a car seat that goes from 0-4years, that offers extended rear facing to at least 2 preferably 4 years as will have a newborn and a 2 year old that will use it, swivels to help get your child in and out the car. Ideally easy to swap between cars.

Any suggestions would be great!

Welshweasel I really hope I have a recovery like yours! I have the besafe izi plus which we will carry on using long term as our main car seat but I need something for the next few months and for family and friends to use as the besafe is just not practical for them to move and fit.

Hijenny35 My other half or friends/family would definitely have to move it as I even struggled with the baby one last time. So many great suggestions I'm going to go and try them all out!

For moving between cars I can't help but think you'd be better off getting a belted non-swivel seat. I really wouldn't want to be messing around transferring a swivel seat (or expecting friends/relatives to do it) on a regular basis.

You mention your car being hard to climb into but maybe in other cars your DC could climb into a belted seat himself. DD (small 2 year old) can climb into her Joie Stages rear facing when we use it.

Cybex sirona m is the one I have just purchased this weekend. We love the cybex range we have a pram and we had a different cybex car seat up until now. I wish this one had been out when my daughter was born would have saved me buying the previous one. Super easy to install and extremely easy to use. My daughter loves it so much she went straight to sleep in it on the way home due to the recline feature.

I just wanted to pop back and update incase anyone else finds this thread useful! We tried quite a few in the end, really liked the joie 360 and the sirona but we went for the Britax Roma duelfix i-size, it's more roomy than the other two so will last my son longer, it also gives more legroom than the others when rear facing but does take up more space in the car as a result. The recline options are great too my son looks very comfortable! It's also very easy to fit just heavy but that's the compromise I was willing to make in the end.
