IKEA today

I haven't been to IKEA for years and were going today. What's new that we shouldn't miss out on? Also need some art and craft storage, does anything fit the bill from there? Needs to fit a4 paper in at the very least. Last time I hated the entire trip is there anything I can do to enjoy it today?

Get there as early as possible, it usually opens for browsing for an hour before the official opening time on sundays. Leave it till after lunch and it will be madly busy.

Get there early!! Rain seems to send people to those type of places!
I have seen a three tired trolley that might work for arts and crafts in there!

Shantotto · 29/09/2019 08:26

My top Ikea tip is meatballs on arrival and a hotdog as you leave. Grin

@chocolatespiders - you can get those three tiered trolleys cheaper at Hobbycraft.

Sorry but another food one- biscuits which look like a Jammy Dodger but are waaay better! Can you get me some?

chocolatespiders · 29/09/2019 08:30

Thanks yellredder just saw them when I googled!

Northernmum100 · 29/09/2019 08:30

In all seriousness, lots of storage things which should meet your needs and yes, get there early!

Herocomplex · 29/09/2019 08:31

Don’t bother with upstairs unless you’re looking for furniture, go straight into the marketplace would be my tip.

I do a lot of crafting and always stock up on scissors and A4 freezer bags - they come in all sizes though - really tough and resealable xx

Oh dear looks like we will be going when it's busy Hmm the trolley looks good, it won't work for us as we have a one year old who will pull it all out. I was thinking of the trofast with the slimmest drawers so that dd can put the whole drawer on the table to use bits out of it. The food tips are great, thanks!

Hmm sling or buggy for the one year old. I was also thinking to give my 5 year old ten pounds to buy whatever she likes to limit how many times she asks can I have this Grin
