I commute an hour each way 4 days a week. Jamie and Amanda on Heart Breakfast are doing my head in. I'm struggling to find podcasts that I want to stick with though. I LOVED My Dad Wrote A Porno and listen to the new ones once a week when they go up, but other than that, I'm lost.
I've listented to RuPaul and Michelle Visage as I'm a big Drag Race fan, but honestly, not a fan of the podcast. Also tried JVN's Getting Curious and couldn't get on with it.

I'd like to learn French if anyone has a language recommendation.

What have you enjoyed?

I really like The Guilty Feminist. Funny and interesting.

cardibach · 28/09/2019 22:23

And for clever stuff, Infinite Monkey Cage.

Oh my. That is a massive list @ChiefClerkDrumknott So many on real life murders too. It's like you've seen the fascination in my brain with them. Thank you. I have subscribed to lots on your list and haven't finished yet.

@highheelsandbobblehats I may be a bit of a podcastoholic Shock

SweetLathyrus · 29/09/2019 14:29

Fortunately (with Fi and Jane) - Jane Garvey and Fi Glover mostly talk nonsense, about being middle aged and menopausal, but also interview some really interesting radio people.

Redpriestandmozart · 29/09/2019 16:43

Can I ask, how do you listen to podcasts on your phone, is it an app or through Spotify?

Whattodowithaminute · 29/09/2019 17:02

Coffee break French is slow to get going but useful content to learn French, duolingo do a podcast too but you need the basics for it to make sense

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 29/09/2019 19:45

I have an iPhone and listen to them on the app

Jupiters · 29/09/2019 20:06

No such thing as a fish and the Elis James & John Robbins show.

highheelsandbobblehats · 29/09/2019 20:09

@Whattodowithaminute Funnily enough I've already subscribed to coffee break French, but I haven't started it yet. Good to know that despite the slow start, it's got useful content.

@Redpriestandmozart I use Google Podcasts as I've got an Android phone. I actually have a Pixel 2, so I know it's compatible. I assume most other Android phones would be too.

I then Bluetooth it to my car, and listen that way. Just need to remember to download them at home so as not to tank my data.

I like 'loose lips' with Luisa Zissman and Anna Williamson.

If you like a spooky story try 'Ghosts in the burbs'...the Lillith episodes are good.

Smellslikebiscuits · 29/09/2019 20:16

Shagged, Married, Annoyed is very funny.
It’s Chris & Rosie Ramsay (never heard of them before I started listening, though he’s on Strictly now) talking about married life, and their gripes with each other. Always makes me chuckle.
