...how do you hoover your stairs?

I was taught top to bottom, but for ease end up doing it the wrong way.

Bottom to top. But I usually do the whole house so I'll do downstairs, work my way up and then do upstairs.

fanniboz · 28/09/2019 21:44

Bottom to top, every time. If I did it the other way I'd go arse over tit down the stairs

Windydaysuponus · 28/09/2019 21:45

4 sets of stairs here.
So the answer is not every often!!
But top to bottom when I have time!

DramaAlpaca · 28/09/2019 21:46

Top to bottom usually.

Crunchymum · 28/09/2019 21:49

I go middle, down then up. Don't ask.

redchocolatebutton · 28/09/2019 21:49

I start wherever the hoover is.
sometimes I start at the landing.

Fluffsmum · 28/09/2019 21:49

Depends whether I've hoovered the ground floor first or the second floor first!

dementedpixie · 28/09/2019 21:56

Also depends if I'm hoovering upstairs or downstairs

RainOrSun · 28/09/2019 22:01

Cylinder of the vaccuum always below me, so I cant pull it in myself.
So, ideally bottom to top, but prefer hoovering upstairs first.....

Itstheprinciple · 29/09/2019 09:16

My mum always told me to do it bottom to top, leaving the actual hoover on the ground floor so it doesn't fall on you.

Wannabegreenfingers · 29/09/2019 09:20

Top to bottom here. I clean upstairs first so it just makes sense.

MidnightMystery · 29/09/2019 09:23

Bottom to top for me or I'd fall down!

ReginaGeorgeous · 29/09/2019 09:28

Top to bottom with my handheld Shark.

I go bottom to top. The only reason is so l can take the things that are downstairs that belong upstairs up as l go. The only thing that needs to come downstairs from upstairs is the rubbish from the bathroom as l usually do a wash before l start the hover / tidy / clean sessions and lm a big multitasker. I spray my bathrooms and put toilet cleaner down the toilet when l get to the bottom of the stairs so by time l have hovered to the top of the stairs and emptied my arms l can then clean them as it’s been at least 5 mins. I have to do it all in my sequence to. I hate it when people try to “help” me.

Oops sorry about the little rant my dd wanted to help me yesterday l am clearly still annoyed about it.
