Are candied peel and mixed peel the same thing?

I won't say which side of the 'discussion' I'm on, but who knew a conversation about making a Christmas cake could result in near carnage in our house.

Mixed peel is the same thing, just a mix of fruit and cut up very small. You tend to buy candied peel in larger pieces.

They are the same thing. I hate the stuff, but I put a bit in to appease DH & adjust the proportion of cherries up.

I think KUGA might be right about candied peel being the US equivalent of mixed peel.

They are the same.
