London on my own for an afternoon - what shall I do?

For the first time in ages I’ll have a whole afternoon all to myself when I go to London next week. I’m looking forward to it but don’t want to “waste” my time there just walking around looking at the the shops. What shall I do? I was thinking of going to the Tutankhamun exhibition as I thought it was already on, but it doesn’t start until November.

It doesn’t have to be an exhibition though! What would you do? I’ll be staying inBlackfriars, if that helps.

Wow! So many ideas, thanks. I'm off to research them x

Oh no... its going to be rsinung tomorrow, which is when I'm coming yo London. Walking for hours to the lovely places you've suggested (which I was looking forward to) is realistically not an option. What would you do instead?

Hard to say without knowing what you like, but one of my favourites is the V&A. They have pretty much everything!

One of the museum's (V&A and Britsh Museum are my favourites - you're nearer to the British Museum). Or, cliched as it sounds, one of the bus tours which are always good and there'll be a stop near you.
